FLOW THROUGH THE STORM — PROGRAM OVERVIEW
A Dynamic Balance Pathway for Transforming Trauma Into Flow, Clarity & Inner Strength

Life’s storms—stress, trauma, conflict, and uncertainty—can leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns we don’t fully understand.
Flow Through the Storm offers a different way forward.
This program introduces the 6-Fold Path of Transformation, the living rhythm of Dynamic Balance—a practical framework that helps you move from tension to flow, confusion to clarity, and overwhelm to grounded strength.
Each step gently guides you in aligning Spirit, Thinking, Emotions, and the Physical body (STEP) so your whole system begins working together again.
Rather than forcing change, the program helps you restore the natural movement of healing and growth already present within you.
Put simply:
Dynamic Balance is the philosophy.
The 6-Fold Path is how you live it.
Flow Through the Storm is where you experience and embody it.
Through mindfulness practices, reflection, movement, and practical tools, you’ll learn how to navigate life’s challenges with greater calm, resilience, and inner clarity.

The 6-Fold Path of Transformation
The 6-Fold Path is a cyclical rhythm of awareness and renewal. Each stage supports a different aspect of healing and personal growth.
Like breath, tides, or the movements of Ba Duan Jin, transformation unfolds through a natural sequence.
Receptivity → Following → Conduct → Keeping Still → Duration → After Completion → Receptivity again.
Each cycle deepens your ability to move through life with steadiness, openness, and flow.
PROGRAM MODULES
MODULE 1 — Foundations of TransformationReceptivity: The Art of Allowing

Transformation begins not with effort, but with openness.
Receptivity invites you to soften striving and expand awareness into the deeper Creative field of experience. Instead of pushing against what you feel, you learn to pause, notice, and allow experience to arise without resistance or judgment.
This shift creates the conditions for real transformation—where insight and healing emerge naturally.
In this module you’ll begin recognizing the hidden emotional and psychological burdens you carry, often without realizing it.
You’ll explore:
-
Trauma as an invisible weight
-
The Invisible Knapsack & Invisible Tool Pouch
-
Breath and presence as gateways to awareness
-
Ba Duan Jin as mindful movement
-
Eastern and Western approaches to healing
-
Opening awareness to Spirit through relaxed attention
-
Receptivity is where the storm first begins to calm.
MODULE 2 — Shifting Perception & Opening to Insight
Following: The Art of Witnessing

You’ll explore:
-
Reacting vs responding
-
Healthy thought patterns and cognitive flexibility
-
The Friendly Universe Paradigm
-
Insight as a “psychic seed”
-
Jungian shadow awareness
-
Developing curiosity toward inner experience
Once awareness opens, the next step is learning how to observe experience without becoming trapped inside it.
Following teaches you to witness thoughts, emotions, and sensations as passing experiences rather than fixed truths. Instead of reacting automatically, you cultivate curiosity, perspective, and compassionate observation.
Here you begin discovering that insight often appears quietly—like a seed of understanding waiting for the right conditions to grow.
Following helps you see your inner world more clearly—and with far greater compassion.
MODULE 3 — Practices for Release & Renewal
Conduct: The Art of Conscious Movement

Insight becomes powerful when it begins shaping action.
Conduct is where awareness translates into intentional movement. Here you learn how to choose responses aligned with wisdom and values rather than habit or emotional impulse.
Sometimes forward movement is required.
Sometimes stillness is wiser.
Sometimes retreat is the most powerful form of renewal.
This module introduces daily practices that help release anxiety, tension, and emotional stagnation.
You’ll explore:
-
The three forms of Conduct: Forward movement, stillness, retreat
-
Opening Spiritual Access Gates
-
Breathwork for emotional regulation
-
Journaling for release and clarity
-
Ba Duan Jin as daily grounding and energy balancing
-
Small conscious actions become the foundation of meaningful change.
“Release tension. Let love guide the movement.
Then the Creative carries you where force never could.”
MODULE 4 — The Pathways of Deep Transformation
Keeping Still: The Art of Grounding

Stillness is the powerful space between stimulus and response.
Keeping Still teaches you how to regulate the nervous system and anchor insight into the body through posture, breath, and presence. Here, stillness is not withdrawal—it is a source of strength, clarity, and resilience from which wise action emerges.
You’ll explore:
-
The 4-Step process: Recognize → Respond → Realign → Renew
-
Posture Perfect: aligning the spine for emotional balance
-
Stillness as a spiritual amplifier
-
Green Wire grounding techniques
-
Ba Duan Jin to harmonize movement and calm
-
From stillness, clarity grows.
MODULE 5 — Living With Endurance, Flexibility & FlowDuration: The Art of Integration
True transformation unfolds over time.
Duration teaches the art of steady, sustainable change—learning how to continue growing even when challenges return.
Healing is not a single breakthrough moment; it is a rhythm of practice, reflection, and renewal. In this module you’ll strengthen the capacity to remain steady through life’s ongoing storms.
You’ll explore:
-
The long arc of healing and transformation
-
Releasing stuck emotional energy
-
Gratitude as an energetic regulator
-
Ba Duan Jin for daily strength and balance
-
Navigating discouragement and doubt
-
Becoming autotelic—motivated from within
Duration turns insight into a lasting way of life.

MODULE 6 — Embodying Completion & Renewal
After Completion: The Art of Renewal

Completion is not the end of transformation—it is a moment of reflection, integration, and renewed openness.
After Completion invites you to pause, acknowledge growth, and allow space for new cycles of learning and awareness to begin.
This stage restores lightness and prepares you to meet life again with expanded wisdom.
You’ll explore:
-
Completing experiences without clinging
-
Reflective journaling and integration
-
The quiet stillness after action
-
Ba Duan Jin’s return to calm presence
-
Living with lightness and sacred awareness
-
Entering the next cycle of receptivity
Completion opens the door to the next beginning.
The Living Rhythm of Dynamic Balance
The 6-Fold Path is not a one-time process. It is a living rhythm you return to again and again throughout life.
Receptivity → Following → Conduct → Keeping Still → Duration → After Completion → Receptivity again.
Just as breath rises and falls, and just as the movements of Ba Duan Jin flow between tension and release, so too does personal transformation unfold in cycles. Each time you move through the path, you develop greater clarity, resilience, and inner strength. And over time, something remarkable happens:
The storms of life no longer control your direction. You learn how to flow through them

On this page you’ll see Brad practicing Ba Duan Jin by Jack Lake in Algonquin Park—a simple, powerful qigong sequence that becomes a living “anchor” for each module in our program. Rather than treating the modules as concepts to memorize, we use Ba Duan Jin to embody them: breath, posture, attention, and intention working together so the learning lands in your nervous system—not just your head.
You don’t need prior experience. You’ll be guided with clear, easy-to-follow instructions, plus a complete breakdown of every movement. Each module will connect to specific moments in the sequence, so you always have a practical way to return to the skill in real time.
Think of it as a moving meditation you can actually use: grounded, repeatable, and surprisingly effective, whether you have one minute, five minutes, or a full practice window with reflection exercises.
